Great roles in the creative, arts and cultural sectors.

Mid-Weight Designer

In a relatively short space of time, this Yorkshire business is fast becoming a major force in the fashion retail space.

Starting in cashmere, they’ve now got a full womenswear range and they sell their wares across traditional mail order, their own High St stores and concessions within a major department store. They’re everywhere and their ambitious growth plans will mean that’ll only intensify.

With projects ranging from seasonal books, catalogues, in-store POS, DM and internal communications there’s a broad range of work to get stuck into. And whilst there are obviously some guidelines and templates in place, there’s plenty of room for creativity and this is something that is actively encouraged.

There’ll be autonomy too. You’ll have their in-house creative director for support and guidance but a lot of the time it’ll be down to you to lead on projects and make sure they’re hitting the mark.

Given all that, it ought to be obvious that relevant, commercial experience is absolutely crucial. I reckon at least 3 years either within an agency with a similar client base or an in-house team will do the trick but, as always, I’m happy to be proven wrong …so long as you can back up your claim with super relevant, commercially viable examples of work.

I like this business a lot. They’re a real success story and their location – slap bang in the centre of Harrogate – gives them something really unique as well.
